Dear Friends and Clients,

We feel grateful as we enter a NEW season with NEW business openings creating NEW possibilities. Our team has expanded to include Bashar at the front desk. Bashar Toloba is a native of Ghana who emigrated to Canada at the tender age of 10. He has been an active and appreciated volunteer in the Toronto Muslim community and plans to continue his education in the field of aircraft design. Bashar enjoys basketball in his spare time.

Our exceptionally skilled RMTs are available to meet your health care needs 7 days per week!  As a reminder we honour gift certificates from WaySpa and SpaFinder and we also are listed on TheTab Travel Guide app.

Neighbourhood News:
There have been many changes in the neighbourhood. While we are sad to lose Heddon Hardware, Sandy's Cuisine and Hakim Optical … we are delighted to welcome Beaches Montessori, Delina Restaurant and Dream Cyclery, all opening up new locations on Kingston Road.

Susierra and Heather

We feel moved to support all of our neightbours, especially the hardest hit industries.  There are many hair salons in Kingston Road Village that deserve our support including Dreamer Hair Design, owned by Heather Lloy. We currently have a cross promotion with this salon.  Clients of Advanced Approaches to Massage get a FREE moisture repair treatment ($35 value) at Dreamer Hair Design and clients of Dreamer get 10% off their first treatment at Advanced Approaches.
WIN-WIN

As an ongoing health care immune system support, we encourage you to continue having outdoor walks in the sunshine to get your quota of vitamin D.  It's so easy to appreciate fall colours and they can provide an energetic uplift if we are open to it.  With nutritional wellness in mind, we would like to share Susierra's daily smoothie recipe.

Susierra's Super Smoothie Recipe

Relationship Coaching News:
For those clients who would like to deepen their understanding of "Calling in 'The One'", the best selling book written by Susierra's mentor Katherine Woodward Thomas, there is an in-depth book study beginning Wednesday October 20th. If you would like more information message Susierra.  There are openings for a couple of new clients if you are interested in doing this profoundly effective work.

Client Profiles:
We are always excited to share the accomplishments of our clients. For this issue of our newsletter we are featuring two elite athletes.

Susierra with Graeme MacLennon of Lacrosse Canada

Born and bred in East Toronto, Beaches Graeme MacLennan 17, shown here, is off to the next level of his lacrosse career! Congratulations to Graeme for earning a highly coveted spot on Team Ontario, a class of elite lacrosse players chosen from the best across the province. Team Ontario and the Canadian travelling Lacrosse Teams will see him competing in Canada and the U.S. for recruitment and scholarships!  He and 3 fellow Toronto Beach Lacrosse Players have the most numbers playing at this year’s level right now! Thanks Toronto Beaches Lacrosse for continuing to produce outstanding lacrosse players!

(L)Michael Goodstadt with his medals, and (R) Susierra with Michael

We are equally proud of client Michael Goodstadt, who embodies the practice of staying active and "ageing healthily."  Michael has been running ever since he was inspired by the 1948 London Olympics as an 8 year old.  By age 11, at boarding school, he developed his passion for cross-country running. He specialized in 440 yards. He has continued to run wherever he lived, wherever he travelled, and whatever the weather!  Michael is now a Masters Champion and is pictured above, left with his medals from both the North American, Central American and Caribbean (NACAC) Athletic Association Championship and the Ontario Track & Field championships in 2019.
Quote of the Month

This month we want to appreciate musician Harry Styles for his inspiringly positive lyrics found in Treat People with Kindness

"…I got a good feeling, I'm just takin' it all in.
Floating up and dreaming, dropping into the deep end
… Giving second chances, I don't need all the answers
Feeling good in my skin, I just keep on dancing
… and if we're here long enough,
we'll see it's all for us and we'll belong
… Maybe we can find a place to feel good, and we can
treat people with kindness…" ~ Harry Styles

Though the lyrics are simple we love that they point to feeling good first. As we say "Love first and foremost, is an inside job" and also essential before Metta (Lovingkindness) Meditation can be practiced.
A timely message, given the increased violence in Toronto and around the world.  We hope this delightful video makes you feel as happy as it does us! Let's keep the kindness going through into the December holiday season!
