Yay it’s May!
We are delighted to announce the arrival of Finnish-made Lojer massage tables. These “Rolls Royce” tables which can do anything but flip you over (sorry – still waiting on that!) bring a new level of comfort and treatment options. The flexibilities for height and drainage allow us to accommodate your individual needs more adeptly. Come in for a “test drive” and let us know what you think!

As usual, we have been busy with various community initiatives. We are looking forward to the annual Art Walk and Street Fest in the Kingston Road Village on Saturday June 4, from 11-4. Appearing once again in front of the clinic, ever-popular cover band “Shelter” featuring Kent, James and Tom will be performing memorable classic rock tunes! Toronto-born artist, and respected teacher, Mark Thurman will be showing some new works in our “Hallway Gallery.” Come in to pick up some exceptional fine art. Also that day Advanced Approaches will be offering free “Ask the Expert” consultations and Chair Massages for a reasonable price! If you know you are coming feel free to book in advance of festival day!
This Mother’s Day we have a fun proposal for you. Bring your wonderful mother in with you for a Mom & Me Couples Massage including chocolate truffles! How better to get that hard-working mom of yours to relax and de-stress with some much needed TLC? If you can’t convince her, you can still buy her a gift certificate to use at a later date.
We would like to give you more information about our team member Lihong (Joanna) Shi. Lihong grew up in Beijing and attended university there for accounting. When she came to Canada in 2007 she decided to pursue massage therapy in order to allow for more flexible working hours while raising her daughters. Lihong has a background in Traditional Chinese Medicine and now many can benefit from her unique approach, featuring the creative use of acupuncture trigger points, in their therapeutic massage treatment — to book an appointment with Lihong or any of our team click here.
Our friend from the Beach Business Networking Group, Juli Langhorne, will be doing a presentation for her business, Vitality For Life. There are two time options available and we will be choosing the date that generates the most interest: Sunday, May 15 (3-5 p.m.) OR Monday, May 16 (7-9 p.m.) Please call us or drop by to sign up. Juli will be bringing the biophotonic scanner which measures antioxidant levels. It will generate a ‘health score’, indicating how fast you are aging and your chances of developing illnesses and age-related disease. Once your level has been calibrated, Juli can provide helpful information regarding your lifestyle, diet, nutritional supplementation and even skincare. She will be discussing a new concept called “Youth Preservation” and will highlight a number of products that are designed to help you look and feel youthful! Having used these products herself, Juli is an excellent spokesmodel for these products as you can see from the photo above with Su.
Our dear neighbour from Pegasus Community Project, Marie Perrotta, a former Beach Citizen of the Year, is retiring from her position on May 6. We are so grateful for this dedicated member of the community: Thank You Marie! As you do your spring purge, consider dropping off any gently used items to Pegasus located at 931 Kingston Road.
Embracing a happy and healthy spring!
